The Minnesota Vikings made a major power move over the weekend. During the team’s customary Family Day at training camp in Mankato (Minn.) on Saturday, they posted a photo of one of their marquee players and his son. The only problem? It was the player that whipped his son with a stick.

We’re unsure if his son in the photo is the same one that Peterson whipped. Regardless of one’s opinion on the situation, the tweet was definitely surprising, as the team clearly showed they’re simply celebrating a fun afternoon and don’t care what people’s reactions are. However, the fact remains that Peterson smacked his son until he bled and although forgiveness can be a beautiful thing, it doesn’t mean his actions have been forgotten. And the Vikings were reminded of that with a bombardment of replies to their photo:
