Victor Cruz Pays Tribute To Sandy Hook Victim

Victor Cruz is paying tribute to one of the victims of the Sandy Hook massacre today with a special message on his cleats.  Cruz took to his Instagram account to post the below picture of his cleats which have a special message for Jack Pinto.

The New York Giants receiver, who forged a strong bond with the six-year-old Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victim’s family after the tragedy last December, will wear a personalized message remembering the child on his cleats during Sunday’s game versus Seattle.

Cruz, who was Pinto’s favorite player, has stayed in touch with the Pinto family for much of the past year, according to the New York Daily News. He wrote Pinto’s name on his cleats and gloves in a game against Atlanta last year, two days after the mass shooting. Saturday was the one-year anniversary of the tragedy in Newtown, Ct.
