The Miami Dolphins struggled on offense during this week’s game against the Tennessee Titans, managing just one touchdown in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of reach. But it sounds like wide receiver Tyreek Hill still believes in his quarterback.
With Tua Tagovailoa on the IR with a concussion and backup Skylar Thompson out with a rib injury, veteran quarterback Tyler “Snoop” Huntley took over as the Dolphins quarterback this week.
While Huntley obviously wasn’t perfect in the game, Tyreek Hill did not hold back his praise for the quarterback during his press conference this week.
“Snoop is awesome,” Hill told reporters on Wednesday according to Pro Football Talk. “For him to be here for [two] weeks and for him to be prepared the way he was prepared for that Monday night game, in my book that’s trending upwards. Because our offense is so complicated and there’s so many motions and words in the play call, and for him to get all that down in a week or so, it’s tremendous.
“I can tell already by him stepping into the huddle, he’s already confident. He’s reading the play call, not even looking at it, so he’s ready to roll, man.”
Huntley completed 14 of 22 passes in the game for just 96 yards. He also ran the ball eight times for 40 yards and a touchdown.
Obviously, the team will want to see more production out of the quarterback going forward, but it sounds like Hill has a lot of faith in him.
We’ll have to see how he performs this week.
