It hasn’t been long since Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill had a run-in with the Miami-Dade police just hours before he was scheduled to play in his first game of the season.
Although it has been weeks since the incident, things remain unresolved. However, there seems to be some positive momentum in bringing things to a close soon.
According to Pro Football Talk, Hill told media members on Thursday that things are progressing.
“There’s been some small steps moved forward. Right now, I want to do a good job of keeping that private. When everything’s happened, it’s going to happen. We’ll kind of lean on you guys to get the word out and spread the message, but right now it’s just small conversations. It’s almost like contract negotiations,” Hill said
Apparently, Hill is still considering legal litigation, and with how well-documented the incident was, it’s hard to believe he wouldn’t have a strong case should he decide to settle everything in the courts.
Per Pro Football Talk, Hill met with local police chiefs to discuss ways that future incidents such as the one that took place can be prevented from happening to others.
It’s good to know that what’s most important to Hill is making the community safer for everyone. The best way for this to end is with citizens and police understanding each other better.
Hopefully, this doesn’t become too big a distraction for Hill, who is hoping to help salvage the Dolphins’ season after star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa went down last week with a head injury.
