Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is radically underpaid considering he is the top wide receiver in the entire league, and it sounds like he would like to make more money.
In an article pointing out just how underpaid Tyreek Hill is compared to some of his less-talented peers, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk pointed out that Hill seemed to indicate recently that he would like a new contract with the team.
“I love the team I play on, love the guys in the locker room, love the head coach, love the G.M. So that means sign me. I love all you guys so much, I want to stay in Miami forever, man. Keep me there,” Hill said according to Pro Football Talk.
Of course, Hill is currently under contract with the team for three more years, so simply saying “sign me” does not make much sense. Reading between the lines, however, it’s pretty clear that Hill means he would like a new contract that pays him more money so he does not have to request a trade somewhere else that will pay him more.
It’s unclear whether or not the Dolphins are planning to give Hill a new contract, but it is pretty clear that he wants one and it’s obvious that he deserves one.
