The Cincinnati Bengals are facing a pretty difficult situation this offseason as superstar wide receiver Tee Higgins requested a trade after contract talks between him and the team apparently stalled. While it’s not exactly clear what the Bengals choose to do regarding Higgins after his trade request, former Cincinnati Bengals star tight end Tyler Eifert seems to think they could be replacing him with another superstar wide receiver.
In a post on social media this week, Tyler Eifert suggested that a potential trade that would send current Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Justin Jefferson to the Cincinnati Bengals.
“Sources telling me Jefferson to Cincy is in motion,” Eifert said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Most people seemed to think that Eifert was joking about the suggestion, with a few outlets even writing articles calling Eifert’s comments a joke. But Eifert responded to those claims by pointing out that he gave no indication that he was joking.

It’s still not clear whether or not Eifert is serious or where his information is coming from, but it is certainly interesting whenever a former player suggests a move like this could be coming.
