The Miami Dolphins are still fighting to claw their way into the playoffs to salvage something from their season. Miami’s season took a turn for the worse after star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was forced to miss a chunk of games early after sustaining a scary head injury.
Tua’s return sparked some life back into the Dolphins’ offense, but there’s still more work to be done.
Unfortunately, Tagovailoa is dealing with another injury heading into the final game of the season, a must-win for Miami against the New York Jets. The Dolphins were hopeful that Tagovailoa would be good to go on Sunday after missing last week’s game, but the hip injury is worse than initially assumed.
“Dolphins plan to start QB Snoop Huntley vs. Jets. Tua Tagovailoa ‘very unlikely’ to play with hip injury, HC Mike McDaniel tells reporters,” reported NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe on Friday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Dolphins are withholding information from their fanbase who spend alot of money attending the games and buying gear. If he injured the hip against the Texans, how does he play the entire game against the 49ers a week later? Josh Allen would never miss a game with an injured hip,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“super unfortunate to hear that Tua is not gonna play. hopefully he can play next year, and with no concussions most importantly,” one fan added.
“Time to invest in another QB. It’s been 3 years, and at this point we know that Tua won’t play a full season again. The best ability, is availability,” another fan added.
“Tough break for Tua, hope he recovers soon! Snoop Huntley stepping in should be interesting,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if Tagovailoa can overcome his bad injury luck as his career continues to unfold.
