The Miami Dolphins have had major question marks at the quarterback position since starter Tua Tagovailoa went down with a scary head injury early in the season.

Tagovailoa suffered a concussion against the Buffalo Bills in Week Two, his third in two years. After the incident, many thought it would be best for Tagovailoa to prioritize his health and walk away from the sport for good.

However, it seems like Tagovailoa has other things in mind.

Tagvaiola plans on making his way back onto the field, according to ESPN’s Jerry Fowler.

“Mike McDaniel to reporters today: Tua Tagovailoa will not play this week but is expected to resume playing in 2024. Tagovailoa is still seeking information and ‘the process continues,'” Fowler tweeted on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news online, which came as a bit of a shock considering the stakes.

“Should never play again respectfully. And the league shouldn’t allow it either with how many head injuries he has had,” one fan said on Twitter.

“It’s a tough break for the Dolphins to not have Tua Tagovailoa this week, but it sounds like he’s being smart about his recovery. It’s good to hear that he’s still seeking information and taking his time with the process. Wishing him a smooth road to recovery!” someone else said.

“I’m sorry but this is irresponsible at this point,” a fan added.

“Why he doesn’t become the poster player for the Guardian Caps I have yet to figure out,” another person tweeted.

It’s a scary situation, and you have to think at some point the league will step in instead of allowing Tagovailoa to jeopardize his future any further.
