During last week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night, Jacksonville Jaguars star quarterback Trevor Lawrence suffered a high ankle sprain that left his status in question for Sunday afternoon’s game against the Cleveland Browns. But Lawrence played in the game, and he seemed to think he was healthy enough.
During his postgame press conference, Trevor Lawrence acknowledged that while the game itself didn’t go the way the team would have hoped, at least he stayed healthy throughout the game.
“I felt pretty good, all things considered,” Lawrence said in his postgame press conference according to Pro Football Talk. “That was a positive out of today. I guess that’s the only one. I didn’t re-injure my ankle, or tweak or anything. I felt pretty good. It held up. I was able to move when needed. It was good.”
Lawrence looked healthy enough in the loss to the Cleveland Browns, going 28 of 50 through the air for 257 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions in the game.
We’ll have to see if Lawrence can remain healthy the rest of the season as the Jaguars try to maintain their position atop the AFC South divisional standings and make a playoff push.
