On Sunday, global pop sensation Taylor Swift will be attending the Grammy Awards as she is nominated for six different awards including the big one, Album of the Year. But unfortunately, she will not be joined by Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce, and Kelce explained why during a recent interview.

With the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship game, Travis Kelce and the Chiefs advanced to Super Bowl LVIII where the team will take on the San Francisco 49ers. As a result, Kelce will be unable to support Swift at the Grammys as he prepares for the game with his team.

“I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for,” Kelce said during a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

Kelce explained that he has practice with the team on Saturday and Sunday is a travel day as the Chiefs head out to Las Vegas to prepare for the big game. As a result, he will be unable to attend the Grammy Awards with Swift, even if he would love to be there to support her.

“Unfortunately, I’ve got to get ready for this big, old Super Bowl that we got in a week,” Kelce said.

Perhaps he will be able to attend the awards with her next year.
