Over the past several months, Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce has been involved in what is without a doubt the most high-profile new relationship on the planet as he began dating pop superstar Taylor Swift. And he admits that the attention didn’t always make it easy.
During an interview, Travis Kelce admitted that the fact that his new relationship with Taylor Swift commanded so much attention certainly made things “a lot harder,” but he insisted that he was able to keep his focus and pointed out that everyone has “distractions” in their lives.
“I have a lot of desire to be accountable for the ones next to me,” Kelce said according to ESPN. “Everybody has distractions or things in their lives that can take away from focus. You’ve just got to be able to compartmentalize that. … It might be on a national scale so it seems like it’s a lot harder, but the reality is when I step in those doors or on the field, I’m focused on championship football and being a Kansas City Chief.”
Obviously, Kelce did a good job balancing the relationship and his commitment to football as he was still able to help lead the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory while Swift offered her full support.
