Ever since the release of the new Taylor Swift album The Tortured Poets Department, there has a been a lot of speculation that two of the songs on the album – “The Alchemy” and “So High School” were written about Swift’s relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. And he seemingly confirmed that news this week.
During a recent interview at his Kelce Jam music festival in Kansas City, Travis Kelce was asked to name his favorite Taylor Swift era. He quickly said 1989, but then added that he is “a little biased” toward the new album.
“I’m a big 1989 era [fan]. But I’m not going to lie, I might be a little biased toward The Tortured Poets Department. Just a little bit,” Kelce said.
“i’m a big 1989 era… but im not gonna lie might be a little biased towards ttpd”
On what song he’d add to kelce jam: “so high school… i think everyone would get fired up for that one”

The interviewer then pointed out that “there’s a couple of songs for you” on the album, so it makes sense that he would like it. Kelce seemingly confirmed this, nodding and saying “Just a little bit biased.”
Kelce went on to suggest that if he could choose any song to play at the Kelce Jam festival, it would be “So High School” – one of the songs on The Tortured Poets Department that seems to reference him and their relationship.
“I think everyone would get fired up for that one,” Kelce said with a smile.
Needless to say, Kelce seems to be confirming that those two songs are indeed about their relationship.
