The Kansas City Chiefs won their second consecutive Super Bowl championship on Sunday night with a victory over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, and it’s led star tight end Travis Kelce to make some bold comments about where this team stacks up in NFL history.
During his postgame press conference, Travis Kelce made it clear that he thinks this Kansas City Chiefs team is one of the “greatest teams of all time” after they won a second consecutive Super Bowl after already winning a Super Bowl a few years ago.
“I know this is one of the greatest teams of all time, to go back-to-back,” Kelce said according to ESPN. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I’ve been able to go through three times now and it gets sweeter and sweeter every time. You can call us a dynasty. You can call us whatever you want. I know what we’ve got is something more special than really what you’ve seen in the NFL.”
No team has ever won three consecutive Super Bowl titles, so the Chiefs will be looking to make some NFL history next season when they defend their Super Bowl championship.
