Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has been familiar with handling fame after he became one of the most prominent players in the NFL over the past few years, but he was not exactly prepared for the new level of fame that he would receive after he began dating global pop sensation Taylor Swift.
During a recent appearance on The Big Podcast with Shaq, Jason Kelce, the brother of Travis Kelce, revealed that his brother had to move houses to avoid harassment from fans after people learned his address and began waiting for him outside of his home.
“He had to completely move out of his house,” Jason Kelce said. “People were just staying by his house.”
Jason Kelce said that his brother had to move out of his house for “safety reasons,” but that it didn’t take long for people to find him at his new address, either.
“And the first day he moved into the new house – a gated community – somebody knocks on the back window of the house,” Jason Kelce said.
“We’ve always been big in the football world – Travis especially,” Jason Kelce said. “The Taylor world, the pop culture world, that’s a whole different level. It’s just a new demographic that wasn’t there before.”
It’s certainly something both brothers are going to have to learn to live with.
