Tragic news out of Kanas City this week.
FOX4 confirmed that police received the toxicology report from the investigation into the deaths of three Kansas City Chiefs fans who froze to death outside a suburban rental home las tmonth.
Family members of David Harrington, Clayton McGeeney and Ricky Johnson told FOX4 that police received the report. Kanas City police told the outlet that they’ve been in contact with the family as well.
However, the police have reportedly remained tight-lipped about the ongoing investigation into the suspicious death.
“There have been no additional details of this case revealed to any media, nor are there any plans to at this time. The case remains an ongoing death investigation,” a KCPD spokesperson told FOX4.
However, sources told the local news outlet that “several substances” were found in the men’s system that could have resulted in their death. Other outlets have reported those substances as “cocaine and other substances.”
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of death for the three men who were found frozen outside in 30-degree weather.
Neighbors told police that the three men arrived on the scene carrying beer, which would indicate they were looking to party while watching the game.
The investigation continues.
