One player never carries a fantasy football team through a season and rarely can he shoulder the entire burden for even a full week. However, in this magically quirky world of agonizing sit/start decisions, booms and busts, unforeseen breakouts and catastrophic meltdowns, that one legendary game sometimes rolls around.
While we have yet to see one of those historic games in 2014, many owners anxiously grip the remote with disgustingly sweaty and greasy hands hoping that maybe…just maybe…Doug Martin will do it again.
As we head toward the one-quarter mark of the NFL season with many owners panicking after 1-2 or 0-3 starts, take a load off and enjoy reliving the happiness (or misery) of the top individual performances since 2000.
Standard scoring was used: 1 point per 10 rushing and receiving yards, 6 points for rushing or receiving TD, 1 point per 25 passing yards and 4 points for passing TD. No PPR or yardage bonus points.
