The Patriots had done a masterful job chewing up clock and driving down the field towards the end of the first quarter of Super Bowl 49.
Then, on a third and six from the Seattle ten yard line, Tom Brady made one of the worst throws of his professional career when he oddly decided to try and force a ball off his back foot right down the middle of the field. The ball would land right in the hands of Jeremy Lane and the Patriots would walk away with no points on what had been a very promising eight minute drive.
Watching it, it’s hard to say who Brady was even aiming for. The pass is pretty much a perfect lob to Lang.
