Sunday will mark the first start of Houston Texan’s Ryan Mallett’s career. And, in a bit of a cosmic coincidence, he’ll be going up against his former teammate Brian Hoyer, who has led the Cleveland Browns to a 6-3 record.

However, this is not the first time that these two quarterbacks have encountered each other. Far from it. Both Hoyer and Mallett were backups to Tom Brady in New England and Brady used his always golden Facebook page to wish both of his former backups luck. Of course, he did so by gently trolling Mallett by posting a couple of photos of Mallett carrying Brady’s and Hoyer’s practice pads during his rookie season.

All that was missing from Brady’s post was a “Sigh, they grow up so fast.”
