Football players are like gladiators in that they provide entertainment for a paying audience but the comparison ends right there. They are not prisoners, nor do they fight to kill humans or do battle with vicious beasts. They are not unpaid, malnourished or subjected to horrendous living conditions.
However, Terrell Suggs appears to think he’s a gladiator with this odd pregame mask on Thursday night:
