Back in 2008, when she was just 19 years old, Taylor Swift wrote a song that included a lyric that downplayed the importance of a girl dating a boy on the football team. And now that Swift is quite literally dating an NFL football star, that lyric sounds pretty funny when it’s performed live.

During a recent concert in Lyon, France, Taylor Swift chose to play her song “Fifteen” from her Fearless album as one of her surprise acoustic songs. The song looks back at a girl’s high school years from the perspective of her older self, reflecting on past friendships and relationships in a more mature light.

The song features a lyric that says “In your life, you’ll do things greater than dating the boy on the football team.” Obviously, this lyric is quite humorous now that Swift is dating Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce, and she couldn’t help but laugh when she sang those words during her recent concert.

The hilarious moment led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Obviously, Swift has indeed done greater things than simply dating a football player, but it’s still a funny lyric given her current relationship.
