It’s no secret that Taylor Swift led to a sizable ratings bump for the NFL this season after she began attending Kansas City Chiefs games in support of her boyfriend Travis Kelce. But the money she helped bring in by simply attending the Super Bowl was absolutely staggering.
According to a report from Steve Brenner of The Sun, Taylor Swift likely helped bring in between $700 million and $750 million by just by sitting in the stands for Super Bowl LVIII.
“The ads could reach a cost of $8.5 million each, an increase of $1 million, or more,” a source told The Sun. “This year, it has been estimated that her presence helped generate a lot of money, estimated between $700-750 million.”
And all that money came simply because she attended the game. If she were to actually perform at the halftime show, that number could potentially double.
“If she is the main artist of next year’s halftime show, it’s expected to generate more than $1.3-1.5 billion,” the source told The Sun.
It’s very clear that Swift’s sudden attachment to the NFL has been quite lucrative for the league. As a result, they’ll obviously want to take advantage of it as much as possible.
