Ever since she began attending Kansas City Chiefs games in support of her boyfriend Travis Kelce, pop superstar Taylor Swift has become a part of the Kansas City Chiefs community. And when that community was struck with tragedy this week, Swift stepped up with a massive donation.
On Wednesday, celebration turned to tragedy when a shooting erupted at the parade celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory. The violence left 22 people injured and killed local radio DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan.
Following the tragic death of Lopez-Galvan, a GoFundMe was established for her family with the goal of raising $75,000. And thanks to a pair of donations for Taylor Swift, the campaign has easily surpassed that goal.
On Friday morning, Taylor Swift made two separate $50,000 donations to the GoFundMe page, donating a total of $50,000 to the cause.
“Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift,” the pop star wrote in her message.
Obviously, this is some insane generosity from Swift, and it understandably has led to a lot of reactions on social media.
