It’s never a great idea to criticize Taylor Swift as she was perhaps the most famous woman on the planet even before her reach expanded to the sports realm with her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce. But Foo Fighters legendary frontman Dave Grohl did not seem to heed that advice as he took a shot at Swift, and she appears to have responded.
During a concert last week, Dave Grohl seemed to imply that Taylor Swift and her band do not play their own instruments as he joked that the Foo Fighters should call their own tour the “Errors Tour” due to the mistakes they making while they “actually play live.”
“We like to call our tour the ‘Errors Tour,’” Grohl said according to CNN. “We’ve had more than a few eras, and more than a few [freaking] errors as well. Just a couple. That’s because we actually play live.”
Several members of the audience booed, prompting Grohl to address the crowd.
“What?! Just saying. You guys like raw, live rock ‘n’ roll music, right? You came to the right [freaking] place,” Grohl said.
Grohl seemed to acknowledge that drawing the ire of Swift and her fanbase is not a great idea.
“I tell you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift,” Grohl said.
But it was too late as Swift clearly heard the comments and appeared to respond during one of her recent concerts.
“Every one of my band members, every single one of our crew, my band — who’s gonna be playing live for you for three-and-a-half hours tonight — they deserve this so much,” Swift said during her concert.
Needless to say, it sounds like Swift heard the criticism and wasn’t necessarily happy about it.
