Patriots running back Shane Vereen – starting for the injured Stevan Ridley – got Thursday Night Football off to a fantastic start against the Jets this week when he laid out for a great diving grab on the Pats first drive in Foxboro. Left pretty much completely uncovered by the Jets defense, Vereen got full extension and made an impressive snag to earn those six points.
