As the Seattle Seahawks prepare for the upcoming 2024 NFL season after the first wave of free agent signings, it sounds like there is still one pretty clear and glaring issue with the team – the offensive line.
During an appearance on Seattle Sports last week, Seattle Seahawks General Manager John Schneider made it very clear that the team is not yet content with what it has on the offensive line, saying that it’s “fairly obvious” the team needs to make some moves this offseason to bolster that position group.
“We’re going to be bringing a couple of veteran offensive linemen through in this second phase of free agency, and then comparing that what the draft looks like. . . . That is a need on our team right now, I think it’s fairly obvious,” Schneider said according to the Seattle Seahawks team website.
The Seahawks do not seem to be bringing back either starting guard or starting center from last year. And though the team has already signed Nick Harris and Tremayne Anchrum to help bolster the interior of the offensive line, it’s pretty clear that the team is still targeting some other moves.
We’ll have to see who the Seahawks bring in.
