Jim Harbaugh decided to leave the Michigan Wolverines to become the next head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, but he’ll now have a chance to bring a few of his former players with him by selecting them in the upcoming NFL Draft. And it sounds like one former Michigan star is fully expecting Harbaugh to do just that.
During a recent appearance on the NFL on Fox podcast, Michigan Wolverines star wide receiver Roman Wilson said that he thinks Jim Harbaugh will ultimately select a lot of his former Michigan players in the upcoming NFL Draft.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if like all nine of us end up going,” Wilson said according to Pro Football Talk. “But seriously, like at least five or six. I think he’s going to take a lot of us.”
Obviously, Harbaugh will have plenty of options when it comes to possibly picking his former players as the Wolverines had 18 players invited to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine last month.
With the Chargers parting ways with Keenan Allen and Mike Williams this offseason, the team does need help at wide receiver, and Wilson made it clear that he would “absolutely” be excited about the possibility of joining Harbaugh in Los Angeles.
