Bill Belichick won six Super Bowl championships during his time as the head coach of the New England Patriots. But that doesn’t mean that he was always easy to work with.
During an interview for AppleTV+’s documentary “The Dynasty: New England Patriots,” Robert Kraft had a pretty brutal revelation about how he felt about Bill Belichick following the team’s Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, saying that he thought Belichick was “a pain in the tush.”
“I credited Bill with that loss,” Kraft said according to the New York Post. “To be honest, my head coach is a pain in the tush. But I was willing to put up with it as long as we won. So, for the next Super Bowl, I wanted to keep an eye on him.”
Kraft also explained that Belichick and legendary Tom Brady did not have a good relationship at all.
“Basically it was a silent relationship,” Kraft said. “Before there had been tension, but now it was just totally dysfunctional … He represented a threat to Bill’s full power. He didn’t want Tommy there.”
It doesn’t sound like Kraft was necessarily happy to work with Belichick, but he at least delivered a lot of wins over the years.
