Last month, legendary NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski went viral on social media when a reporter asked him his thoughts on “men” – referring to transgender women – competing in women’s sports. The tight end vigorously shook his head to indicate he did not agree with allowing transgender women to compete in women’s sports, and now he is expounding on that stance.

During a recent interview with Fox News, Rob Gronkowski was asked why he didn’t give a thorough explanation to the question instead of just shaking his head. And Gronkowski had a pretty simple response: he didn’t really the he needed to give more thoughts than that.

In his interview, Gronkowski announced that “there’s really no argument” as he gave his thoughts.

“There’s really no thoughts to really even share. It’s the obvious,” Gronkowski told Fox News. “There are men’s sports for men, there’s women’s sports for women. It should just stay like that. It’s just as simple as that, man. There’s really no argument. There should really be no conversation about it.

“How it’s been is how it should be. Men play men’s sports, women play women’s sports. It’s as simple as that. It’s really unfair if a man went into a women’s sport and played it. It just doesn’t really make much sense to me.”

It’s pretty clear where Gronk stands on the issue, and the social media world had a lot to say about it.
