The Baltimore Ravens and reigning MVP Lamar Jackson are looking to finally get over the hump and reach the AFC season. Baltimore seemed ready to do just that in the second half of the season when it wrestled control of the division from the Pittsburgh Steelers in order to secure home-field advantage in Saturday’s wild card game against those same Steelers.

Unfortunately, en route to clinching the AFC North in the final game of the season, star wide receiver Zay Flowers was forced to exit the contest early with a knee injury. There was hope that the Ravens top receiving threat would be ready to go by kickoff on Saturday night, but those hopes have been extinguished in the cold January winds, according to one prominent NFL insider.

“John Harbaugh ruled out WR Zay Flowers for Saturday’s game vs. the Steelers,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Won’t matter. Henry is gonna run circles around PIT’s defense,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Of course he’s out. He most likely won’t play next week either,” one fan added.

“And this is why Saquon rested and didn’t go for the record for all the weirdos out there crying about it. Philly made the right choice,” another fan added.

“Lemme guess when Lamar chokes in the playoffs once again yall gon mention the two fraudulent mvps he got once again,” one fan wrote.

It’ll be interesting to see if Jackson can overcome the loss of his number-one receiving target.
