The Las Vegas Raiders are looking to establish a lasting culture in the organization for the first time since relocating from Oakland. The franchise was hoping that head coach Antonio Pierce would be crucial in getting that done, but after a disappointing 4-13 season, Las Vegas felt it was time to move in a new direction and relieved Pierce of his duties.
Now, signs point to Las Vegas heading towards a complete reset of its organizational structure. According to one prominent league insider, the team has made another massive firing.
“And now the Raiders have fired general manager Tom Telesco two days after moving on from Antonio Pierce, per sources,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Thursday afternoon.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Raiders are completely clearing house. Guess the GOAT and the new owners want a complete fresh start with their own guys,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“What are the odds Davis makes his own draft picks and hires a gm after?” one fan wanted to know.
“This just in Tom Brady has now made the executive decision to become the GM and the head coach of the Raiders!!!” one fan joked, noting how Tom Brady is now in the Raiders’ ownership group.
“I liked Telesco, his draft was the Raiders best in a long time. I’ll reserve judgement until I see who they hire,” another person wrote.
“I don’t agree with this, but it’s clear that one of their preferred candidates has a preferred GM,” one fan added, referencing the possible demands of someone the Raiders are eyeing to become the next head coach.
It’ll be interesting to see who the new coach and general manager duo is in the desert.
