When the Jacksonville Jaguars take the field for their rookie minicamp, they’ll do so with a player who already lays claim to Pro Bowl credentials.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Jarvis Landry will participate in the Jaguars’ upcoming rookie minicamp in attempts of making an NFL comeback. The 31-year-old Landry sat out the 2023 season but is looking to make his return to a team’s roster after having most recently spent the 2022 campaign with the New Orleans Saints.
Originally selected by the Miami Dolphins in the second-round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Landry earned three Pro Bowl selections in four seasons with the team and led the NFL with 112 receptions in 2017. Following the 2017 campaign, he was traded to the Cleveland Browns and went on to earn two more Pro Bowl selections in four seasons before being released by the franchise ahead of the 2022 season.

Following his release, the LSU product returned to Louisiana, signing a one-year contract with the Saints. He caught 25 passes for 272 yards and one touchdown during an injury plagued season in New Orleans.
In trying out with the Jaguars, Landry will look to provide Jacksonville with another reliable wide receiver for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. To this point in the offseason, the Jaguars have already made two big moves at the position, signing free agent Gabriel Davis and using their first-round pick on another LSU product, Brian Thomas Jr.
