The Pittsburgh Steelers are already pretty well stocked at the quarterback position with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields leading the way and Kyle Allen and John Rhys Plumlee adding depth at the position behind them. But it seems like the team is still in search of more talent at the game’s most important position.
According to a report from Aaron Wilson of KPRC, the Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing in yet another veteran quarterback, inviting former XFL star and Denver Broncos quarterback Ben DiNucci for a workout this week.
“Steelers bring in former Broncos quarterback Ben DiNucci for a workout per a league source,” Wilson said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, DiNucci is not expected to compete for the starting role with Wilson and Fields on the roster, but the move still led to a lot of reactions on social media.
They want that 2023 Broncos QB room. Good for DiNucci though! https://t.co/5Y677TJf7B

DiNucci was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft where he appeared in three games for the Cowboys, starting one of them. However, his biggest claim to fame came at the XFL level where he led the league in passing during the 2023 season.
We’ll have to see whether or not the Steelers decide to sign him.
