The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a lot of pretty significant moves at the quarterback position this offseason, signing Russell Wilson after he was cut by the Denver Broncos, trading for Justin Fields after the Chicago Bears decided to move on from him, and trading former starter Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles. And the team made yet another move this week.
Following the NFL Draft this weekend, the Pittsburgh Steelers decided to sign former UCF quarterback John Rhys Plumlee, giving him a chance to compete and attempt to earn a spot on the roster.
“Extremely fired up to be a part of #SteelerNation #HereWeGo” Plumlee said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Though Plumlee played quarterback for UCF for the past two seasons and was recruited as a quarterback out of high school, he is a very unique talent who can do far more than simply play in the pocket. Plumlee is a much better runner than passer and even played wide receiver at times in his college career.
Needless to say, this is an interesting signing and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.
Having a party and this reaction as an undrafted free agent is pure lunacy. What an absolute clown this guy is. Just imagine his reaction when he coaches Oak Grove to back to back South half 7A championships https://t.co/6qlDYw4pCK

It will certainly be interesting to see how the team decides to utilize him.
