After a 10-1 start to the 2023 NFL season, the Philadelphia Eagles had a disastrous end to the season as the team lost five of their last six regular season games followed by a blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the playoffs. The collapse has led to a lot of discussion about what went wrong, and star receiver A.J. Brown went out of his way to address some of those claims this week.
On Friday, A.J. Brown called into radio station WIP to address “these are rumors that you guys are making up and everybody runs with” following reports of serious disagreements within the Philadelphia Eagles locker room.
“The locker room is fine,” Brown said on Friday according to Pro Football Talk. “Players wasn’t executing, that’s what it came down to. I think the media ran with the coaches, blame the coaches. I never blame the coaches, I’m not the person to blame the coach. . . . It was the players not executing.”
Brown also addressed reports that he has a strained relationship with quarterback Jalen Hurts, claiming that is untrue. He made it clear that he wants to remain with the team and is happy where he is.
“I want to be here, it’s as simple as that,” Brown said.
