It’s no real secret that Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been dominant in the postseason throughout his career, but the actual numbers are quite a bit more jarring than most would even expect.
In a social media post this week, sports analyst Nick Wright gave a pretty thorough rundown of just how impressive Patrick Mahomes has been in the postseason during his career with the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs:
14-3 overall.
13-1 in regulation.
2-0 on the road.
3-0 as an underdog.
Also, the all time leader in…
Yards Per Game
Passer Rating
Completion %
TD-INT Ratio,” Wright wrote in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, it’s absolutely insane that Mahomes has performed this well in the playoffs throughout his entire career in the league, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media as a result.
I’m not a gambling man, but Chiefs +2.5 is the easiest bet in the history of sports betting https://t.co/aU1VriLKLq

Ever since MJ retired, the sports world has been looking for the next MJ. It didn’t happen in basketball but Mahomes is MJ. Not just in a winning perspective but moreso in a competitive, talent and hate to lose aspect. 15 is the greatest QB I’ve ever seen. https://t.co/fMnns8Ge8H

He’s already better than Brady and got time to get close to him in Rings. https://t.co/G1SiPLOpJN

If Mahomes wins the SB this year he can begin to enter the Brady conversion, but he needs to win. A loss and he won’t be in that convo just yet. https://t.co/A0jN1p9XVU

3 losses came from Brady (twice) and Joe Burrow. Not bad https://t.co/wcffDvCDJv

Obviously, Mahomes will have a chance to add to this already impressive postseason resume later this month when the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. We’ll have to see how he performs and whether or not he adds another Super Bowl ring to his already impressive career accolades.
