The Baltimore Ravens are trying to keep pace with the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North, but the climb to the top of the standings got steeper after a shocking loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The Ravens allowed Jameis Winston, who was making his first start at quarterback for the Browns, to march down the field and throw a touchdown with 59 seconds left in the game. Reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens got the ball back and tried to rally, but ultimately couldn’t complete the comeback.

After the game, Ravens defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike had some choice words about who the better team actually was.

“I need to get better. We all need to get better, in terms of run game, pass game — everything,” Madubuike said, via Pro Football Talk.

“Kudos to the Browns; they played a good game, and they won, and congratulations to them. But we know who should have really won that game, and it was just [on] us.

We just didn’t capitalize on those opportunities, and it hurts. But we have a new opponent coming up, and that’s what we’re going to focus on, really.”

These are big words considering that if the Ravens really should’ve won, they would have. It’s starting to look like Lamar Jackson just doesn’t have what it takes to get over the hump.

The Ravens’ next chance to catch up with the Steelers is against the Denver Broncos.
