The San Francisco 49ers are doing everything within their power to repeat as NFC champions and get back to the Super Bowl to avenge last season’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. They got the season started the right way, defeating the New York Jets 32-19 in the first Monday night game of the young NFL season.
The 49ers are preparing for their next matchup with the Minnesota Vikings, and it looks like star edge rusher Nick Bosa is expecting much more of a challenge this weekend than they faced against the Jets last week as he made it clear that he thinks the Vikings are a “better team” than they faced last week.
“This week I think we’re playing a better team. They’re playing better football it looks like… We’re going to have to be better in our techniques. We got away with some things last week, so we have to hone in and not pat ourselves on the back,” Bosa said in a video shared via KNBR.

It’s rare to see opposing players so dismissive of a team led by four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers, but if Monday’s performance was anything to judge by, this Jets team has a long way to go if it wants to be in championship contention deep into the season.
It’ll be interesting to see how Rodgers and the Jets respond to the slight.
