Sometimes in football, it can be tough to determine whether an NFL player is “dirty.” But in the case of Brandon Meriweather, it’s not very difficult to annoint him the NFL’s dirtiest player. Because today, Meriweather was suspended for violating the NFL’s safety rules…for the sixth time. 6th!
The only problem with his suspension? It’s for two games.
League suspends Brandon Meriweather for first two games due to 6th violation of unnecessary roughness rules

Meanwhile, if an NFL player violates the league’s drug policies too much, he can be suspended for an entire season. See: Josh Gordon.
Here’s a question for the NFL: What’s worse? Launching yourself at someone’s head, or smoking pot?
Again, this is Meriweather’s sixth violation. If the NFL wants to be taken seriously when it comes to players’ safety, maybe it should have banned Meriweather for more than 1/8 of the season.
