It’s no real secret that the New York Jets did not have the season they hoped for, especially after the injury to future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers during his first series with the team. And it sounds like team owner Woody Johnson is expecting a lot more out of the team this year.
During a recent interview, Woody Johnson called out the team a little bit, making it clear that what he saw from the team last year was unacceptable.
“The discussions we’ve had the last couple of months, they’ve seen me about as mad as I can be,” Johnson said according to Brian Costello of the New York Post. “This is it. We have to produce this year … I’m not a playoff mandate [guy] but we have to do a lot better than seven games.”
Obviously, these words caused quite a stir on social media as the NFL world offered their reactions to Johnson’s comments.
But they won’t.

The good news for the Jets is that they will have Rodgers back in the lineup next year after he recovers from his Achilles injury. We’ll have to see if that leads them to a better season than they had last year.
