This weekend, Stan Lee, the creative force behind Marvel and co-creator of Captain America, Black Panther, Spider-Man, Hulk, X-Men and Iron Man among many other A-list comic creators, passed away at the age of 95. Many tributes poured in for the legend, including a great one from Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu.
Sanu wore these amazing Stan Lee cleats during Atlanta’s 22-19 loss to the Dallas Cowboys featuring the beloved creator and Spider-Man illustrated on them.
Lee’s impact extended well beyond the world of comic books. Clearly, Lee meant something to Sanu. The 29-year-old wideout’s tribute was a fitting one. Well done.
