The Minnesota Vikings and Justin Jefferson have not yet agreed to a contract extension to keep him in Minnesota, but it sounds like his head coach is confident that it’s going to happen in the near future.
During a recent appearance on Up & Adams, Kevin O’Connell was asked about the contract status of Justin Jefferson and he made it clear that he is confident a deal will ultimately be worked out.
“I know everything’s gonna get worked out there,” O’Connell said according to Pro Football Talk. “Justin knows the love and admiration that I have for him. He knows he’s such a big part of what we do around here. That’s on the field, that’s off the field. Brings such a great energy to our building every single day and he’s the ultra-competitor as far as when he steps between the white lines. Very few people are able to do what he’s able to do, but it’s how he goes about his business, how he works, how he pushes his teammates to get better. Justin Jefferson’s a huge part of this organization.”
Jefferson is obviously one of the most dominant wide receivers in the entire league and the Vikings would love to secure his services for the foreseeable future. We’ll have to see when the team works out a deal.
