The Pittsburgh Steelers are running out of time to find answers. Pittsburgh is slated to face the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday night in the wild-card round of the playoffs but is reeling from a three-game losing streak.
As of late, quarterback Russell Wilson has looked nothing like the guy who replaced Justin Fields in the middle of the season and appears to have regressed to the version of himself that suited up for the Denver Broncos.
In light of the team’s recent struggles and apparent lack of answers, head coach Mike Tomlin has discussed the possibility of using Fields to spark the offense.
“Mike Tomlin says he’s ‘certainly open to utilizing’ Justin Fields against the Ravens. Does not mean Fields will start, but the ‘Fields package’ could be utilized,” reported Steelers reporter Mike Farabaugh on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“The Fields package needs to turn into the ‘Fields starter package,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“I’m definitely hoping to see more Justin Fields packages used against the Ravens,” another fan added.
“He needs to start in a cold ground pound game he is the only logical choice the passing game likely will be an afterthought for both teams and fields is a running asset,” one fan added.
“makes no sense to put him in against the best rush defense in the league. every play he’s in, they know and we know what the playcall is,” one fan added.
“Yeah let’s drop 4 straight to try something that should’ve been going on lol,” wrote one fan.
It’ll be interesting to see if Fields can make a difference for the Steelers on Saturday.
