When Ohio State Buckeyes superstar wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. decided not to participate in drills and workouts at the NFL Combine, it wasn’t necessarily surprising as many top NFL Draft prospects often choose to save their workouts for their individual pro days, instead. But in a shocking twist, it sounds like Harrison won’t even be doing that.
According to a report from NFL insider Albert Breer of SI.com, Marvin Harrison Jr. has opted not to participate in Ohio State’s pro day workouts, either.
“Ohio State Pro Day is today, and teams have been informed that all-everything WR Marvin Harrison Jr. will not be working out for scouts. Will be relatively quiet in Columbus, with so many high-end draft prospects choosing to stay in school, no GMs or HCs scheduled to be there,” Breer said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.
We laid out Marvin Harrison Jr.'s logic prior to the Combine: https://t.co/mt1qu3rpDN. He's preparing for the NFL season, and doing it at OSU, rather than training to run 40s.
He asked the 9 teams he met with in Indy if they needed to see anything at Pro Day. They all said no. https://t.co/2uYrj0OYYJ

This is obviously a pretty shocking approach to the pre-draft process, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.
No Combine workout, no Pro Day… https://t.co/CgjPiDI69T

Intentionally ruining his draft stock so he can team up with Caleb on the Bears https://t.co/jbLviSniMg

Folks are mad but if I’m a Top 10-15 player I’m not either. I’m not risking getting hurt and the film told you what you need to know 🤷🏽♀️ https://t.co/FyMjj3v86a

Good for Marvin Harrison Jr. He’s got nothing to prove. The tape is there https://t.co/JdpTR0i4jq

We’ll have to see how this strategy works out for him.
