Every year, the top rookies in the NFL Draft get together for the NFLPA Rookie Premiere where the players make their first public appearances with the league. But it sounds like new Arizona Cardinals star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. will not be attending the event.
As NFL insider Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk points out, Marvin Harrison Jr. did not accept his invitation to this year’s NFLPA Rookie Premiere.
“He still doesn’t have an NFLPA licensing deal. Perhaps not coincidentally, Cardinals receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. did not accept an invitation to attend the 2024 NFLPA Rookie Premiere in L.A,” Florio wrote for Pro Football Talk.
“He was indeed on the invitation list. He was not on the official list of expected attendees.”
Obviously, this is a pretty shocking move considering that Harrison is the only skill player selected among the top 15 picks in the draft who did not accept his invitation. But as Florio alludes, Harrison’s absence likely stems from the fact that he has not yet signed his NFLPA licensing deal due to a conflict with Fanatics.
We’ll have to see whether or not this conflict gets resolved between Harrison and Fanatics before the seasons starts.
