New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore established himself as one of the most dominant cornerbacks in the league before injuries slowed him down the past two seasons. Now he is the subject of some trade talks, especially as he failed to come to terms with a long-term contract extension with the team. But he is not bothered by that conversation.
During a recent press conference, Marshon Lattimore offered his reaction to those trade rumors as he made it clear that he understands why he would be the subject of trade talks and that the only thing he can do is prove that he is still the player he was before his injuries.
“I ain’t got no problem with it. It’s all business at the end of the day. I can’t have no personal problem because you want to trade me or something. It is what it is,” Lattimore said according to Katherine Terrell of ESPN. “Everybody knows that they come here and what can happen. I’ve been hurt for two years, so I understand that people probably don’t think I’m the same type of player or whatever the case may be. All I’ve got to do is prove to people that I am. So that really falls on me to be honest.”
We’ll have to see whether Lattimore is indeed traded or if he gets to try to prove himself again this season.
