Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor is in the midst of a holdout in hopes of securing a new contract with the Seahawks. As such, he hasn’t been at practice and Pete Carroll recently stated that Kam won’t play during Seattle’s first game of the season against the St. Louis Rams.
However, while his teammates would surely like to have Chancellor out there on Sunday, it seems that at least one of his teammates is also supporting Kam in his bid for a re-worked contract. Marshawn Lynch attended the Seahawks practice on Thursday but instead of wearing his customary no. 24, Marshawn wore Kam’s no. 31.
Lynch signed his own two-year extension with the Seahawks earlier this year.
