Marshawn Lynch took a nasty punch to the groin and seconds later he fumbled against the Falcons. The groin punch was delivered by Thomas DeCoud. The punch wasn’t necessarily the cause of the fumble, but I’m sure it didn’t help. Either way, you never want to see something like that happen, to anyone. Jonathan Babineaux of the Falcons recovered the ball at the Atlanta 39-yd line with just under seven minutes remaining in the first quarter.
