Twitter is as psyched as everyone else is for the start of the NFL season and they’ve compiled some interesting trivia which you can use to amaze/bore your friends before tonight’s kickoff between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers.
The most followed team in the league? The New England Patriots.
The most mentioned team on Twitter during July and August? The Dallas Cowboys, presumably because their fan base loves to spend every offseason complaining about Jerry Jones.
While neither of those stats are that surprising, Twitter also looked at who are the most followed NFL players on Twitter. The list is actually shocking and based on the number of followers found on August 31st. No, Johnny Manziel didn’t top the list.
If you correctly guessed the top three, you probably spend way too much time on Twitter. Just sayin’.
