Lamar Jackson Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson is obviously one of the best running quarterbacks in the history of the league, but it sounds like he made a big change this offseason that could make him even more athletic than before.

According to a report from Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Lamar Jackson has intentionally lost about 10 pounds this offseason and looks noticeably slimmer on the field this spring than he did during the season last year.

Russini suggested that it could make him even quicker and faster this year than he was previously.

“Lamar Jackson looks different this spring. He is intentionally down to 205 pounds — 25 pounds less than his 2022 weight and lower than last season, when he played at 215. The word in Baltimore is this slim Lamar could be even faster than the one we’ve seen in years past,” Russini said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, Jackson had arguably the best season of his entire career last year as he won the league’s MVP Award and led his team to the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs. We’ll have to see if the weight loss makes him even more dominant.
