The Baltimore Ravens faced a big challenge this weekend, taking on the San Francisco 49ers, who entered the game as the clear-cut favorite to win the Super Bowl. The Ravens obviously seemed up to the task, blasting the Niners by a score of 33-19. According to Lamar Jackson, it’s those types of games that bring out the best in the Ravens.
During a recent interview, Lamar Jackson made it clear that he thinks the Ravens are actually at their best when they are facing a little bit of pressure.
“I believe we play better under pressure,” Jackson said according to ESPN. “We keep our poise. We stay locked in no matter how the game may seem, no matter what the crowd noise is [and] no matter how hard the defense is hitting us. I don’t think anybody plays like us. We just need to keep playing that way [and] keep playing the Raven way.”
That’s good news for the Ravens as they’ll be facing plenty of pressure down the stretch as they try to make a run through the postseason in hopes of a Super Bowl appearance. We’ll have to see if the Ravens can continue to be at their best in the playoffs.
